Conditions We Treat.

  • Annular tears can be caused by wear and tear over time or traumatic injuries that result from participation in sports, engaging in strenuous occupations, or experiencing accidents.

    Common Symptoms

    • Low back pain

    • Neck pain

    • Sciatic pain

    • Muscle weakness in the arms or legs

    • Stiffness or soreness in the joints

    • Numbness and tingling in the extremities

  • The most common cause of acute back or neck pain is a muscle injury, in which muscle fibers stretch too far and tear. Muscle injury may be caused by overuse, such as from heavy lifting, as well as by repetitive motions that put continual stress on the back or neck muscles.

    Common Symptoms

    • Sudden muscle pain, often from a certain movement

    • Muscle spasms

    • Redness, bruising, and/or swelling

  • When a bone is compressed and breaks, it can result in a compression fracture. This causes the vertebrae to collapse and become shorter, usually affecting the front of the vertebrae, causing the body to stoop forward over time.

    Common Symptoms

    • Gradually increasing pain in the back. Pain may be relieved while laying horizontally but worsen when standing.

    • Decrease in height

    • Inability to bend or twist

  • A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury caused by the brain moving rapidly back and forth sometimes colliding with the side of the skull.

    Common Symptoms

    • Headache

    • Dizziness and issues with balance

    • Bothered by light or sound

    • Confusion and memory problems

  • As we get older, cartilage in our joints wears down. An injury, repetitive movements, obesity, poor posture and other spine conditions that change the way the facet joints align and move can cause pain, resulting in facet joint disorders.

    • Aches

    • Burning nerve pain

    • Pins and needles sensation

  • Although disc material degenerates naturally, herniated (or slipped) disc can also be caused by a single excessive strain or injury.

    • Sharp pain in the arm or leg (please note, symptoms commonly affect one side of the body)

    • Numbness or tingling

    • Muscle weakness

  • Impairment is when you experience a permanent loss, loss of use, damage or malfunction of a; part of your body. bodily system, or function.

  • Joint pain can be caused by many types of injuries or conditions. It may be linked to arthritis, bursitis, or muscle pain.

  • Commonly referred to as a pinched nerve, radiculopathy is injury or damage to nerve roots in the area where they leave the spine.

    Common Symptoms

    • Pain, numbness, or tingling along the spine

    • Tingling or numbness in the fingers or hand

    • Pain associated with neck movement

  • Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spaces in the spine. This can compress the spinal cord and nerve roots exiting each vertebrae. The most common cause of spinal stenosis is osteoarthritis but injury to the spine can also be a factor.

    Common Symptoms

    • Back pain

    • Sciatica (burning pain along the buttocks and down the legs)

    • Numbing, tingling, or cramping in legs

    • Weakness in neck, back, arms, or legs

  • Whiplash is a neck injury caused by sudden, vigorous head movement in one direction, then back again quickly, causing the soft tissues (the muscles and ligaments) of the neck to extend beyond their normal range of motion.

    Common Symptoms

    • Pain and stiffness in the neck

    • Shoulder pain

    • Numbness in your arm or hand
